Angled
Angled constructions
Angled constructions, such as piles for suspension bridges and various types of walls and shafts, can all be built using sliding formwork by applying special moulds. For example, using Interform’s special conical yoke legs, it is possible to create constructions that are both angled and conical, for example the A tower on the Strømsteinsbrua bridge in Stavanger, Norway. Two of the walls of the control tower at Oslo Airport Gardermoen are designed to give the tower an aircraft wing silhouette.

As early as 1959, we were commissioned to work on a project to construct a 100-metre mountain shaft at an incline of 43°. Our sliding formwork technique was used to coat the inside of the shaft with concrete. The mould was controlled by rails that had previously been used in blasting the shaft.
